Ok now this is a serious milestone post as it is my 3 year blogoversary and I have published 300 posts as of today. I still cannot believe I have been blogging for 3 years now, and I prefer to not make a big deal out of anniversaries, but I couldn’t resist as the number 3 is my favorite number. I am happy about all the work I’ve put into my blog and it really has made me a better person. I enjoy sharing all the facts and knowledge I have learned regarding personal finance with all of the readers. I must say the accountability factor of having a blog is a hidden secret and one of the best moves I made to improve on my life.
Holy Moly I’ve Been Blogging for 3 Years
This has been fun ride I have been on, but I am unsure about how long it will last. Technology is changing so fast that blogging might be gone tomorrow, who knows what will occur when Microsoft changes the technology game again. I will admit that I started blogging because I read somewhere it is a great place to get some passive side income, boy was that some bad information. It is very hard to make any money from blogging, but something changed where I now don’t mind blogging for free. It feels like a little piece of my knowledge is out in cyber space forever. I guess it depends on the person, but a part of me wants to leave a mark on this world, who knows maybe in a hundred years my grandkids might read my blog. Maybe I should set up the hosting for a century to see what kind of deal I’ll get?
What have I learned from all the posts I’ve read and released over the 3 years? I learned that life is very hard, if you are not on top of things and organized in some fashion. I also witnessed that life can be a series of failures and mistakes, but the smart ones come out ahead, when they recover the right way. If you constantly make mistakes and fail to not repeat them, guess what you’re not growing and learning. In addition to it all, we all have shortcomings in life and strengths in life, and if you learn it sooner rather than later you will understand yourself better. Also there’s not one size fits all approach to how people handle money. What works for me might not add up or work for the next person.
One of the biggest lessons the smart bloggers acquired after writing so much is that personal finance is more about your choices, behaviors, and lifestyle you desire to display, than it is about money, investing, and taxes. This is my 300th posts that I published as a hobby, so I have no ulterior motive, take it from me as I don’t gain $$ from teaching this stuff. After it’s all said and done if this blog doesn’t succeed in popularity, or Page ranking of 1, I still feel accomplished and a better person for being a part of it. I want to thank all the readers for your support. I also want to thank all the bloggers for the motivation, advice, and link juice to keep going forward on my blogging journey.

Thanks J. Trying to catch up with the more experienced bloggers. LOL.
Well done on two milestones. I hear you but you need to keep going. I hate to see a good blog abandoned and there are a few of them in blogosphere. I have had a few great tips from you like "avoid lifestyle inflation" and appreciated. Thanks.

If I get an idea I jot it down, that’s been my secret to getting 300 posts published. We tend to forget many ideas so that strategy can help anyone remember valuable topics. Thanks for the well wishes. Good luck.
