Sure if you want to throw a label my way go right ahead I don’t mind. I hope you enjoyed part 1 of the personal finance sayings. I am on vacation this week and I wanted to leave you with something not overly complicated like 11th grade algebra. Invest in yourself – on occasion forgo investing in the stock market, and use money to take a class to improve skills
The Dave Ramsey Plan – financially living on the 7 baby steps plan, banning all debt and cutting up credit cards while driving a beater
It’s time to pay the piper – you can only put off paying off debt for so long, eventually you have to pay it back.
It’s Not what you make its what you keep – simple and straight to the truth phrase for those folks who like to spend every last penny of their paychecks
Dude you’re like Gates – you have the most money aka Net worth of all your friends
Financial Freedom – Not working a 9-5, being financially independent. Sleeping in whenever you want – reading / blogging for leisure
Financially Fit – Working out while checking your asset allocation and reconciling you check book. (Or just being financially smart with money)
Get Rich Quickly – playing the lotto, working an MLM Scam, doing financial things that lead nowhere near being rich
Going Yellen – Going around the topic and avoiding topics in general usually about money / finances
Have Money to Burn – a big wad of cash that will soon depart your hands, spending like crazy, a shopping extravaganza
Know what you own, and why you own it – basically don’t invest in stuff you don’t understand. Umm Bitcoins Anyone?
Mad Fientist – financial Scientist where you break down all the geeky math out of finances and you optimize them in order to retire early, pay low taxes
Money Can’t Buy Happiness – basically stating that happiness never originates from how big your wallet is
Money is the root of evil – using money with greedy intentions and letting the money control / change you, having riches and not giving to charities
Money Doesn’t Grow on Trees – people use this to notify others that money is limited, and they are watching their money supply.
More Money More Problems – A random saying people use to justify an increase in spending due to the increase in income.
Passive Income – making money from many sources usually online or affiliate income
Penny Wise and Pound Foolish – You spend big dollars recklessly, and then save coins when it should be the other way around.
Pretired – Semi Retired
Retire By __# – The year you will stop working for corporate America and the nest egg will support your lifestyle for life
Rich Uncle EL – financially savvy uncle who doesn’t mean to rant /judge too much in daily interactions about money
